On my to-do list this weekend is to buy/pick myself a beauitful bouquet of flowers...As I'm sure my female counterparts will agree, there's nothing quite like a bright bunch to raise one's spirits.
I'm not quite sure what it is about them that makes us feel better about life - perhaps it's their romantic connotations - they make us feel surrounded by love somehow!
Something which always brings a smile to my face is seeing a stranger carrying flowers. Often the guy in question looks sheepish and embarrassed, but sometimes he is beaming from cheek to cheek - and whether they're for his mother, grandma, or girlfriend - it makes me happy.
Such a small gesture, but they really do say so much...
